Data control model (DCM)
In the prototype phase of a new car model, a digital or physical data control model (DCM) is used as a reference model to develop the production processes following the design process. It already corresponds to the planned series part, and serves as a basis for tool manufacture, for example. As a design pattern, it can also be compared to other variants or be adapted to changed requirements. At Siebenwurst, the production of physical data control models is carried out on the customer's request within the framework of prototype construction using precision milling machines with CAD/CAM control.
